CLAWS by Shojo Punk is a virtual nail studio, an alternative to the traditional salon experience where I create custom, one-of-a-kind luxury gel press-ons that you can order from the comfort of your own home or anywhere else — no commute, no small talk over a nail lamp, just art made for your hands. Each and every set is perfectly sized, meticulously painted and finished to the highest standard, so that when you slip them on, they feel like they were always meant to be yours.

These aren’t the flimsy, one-night-only sets you remember from the drugstore. Made with the same professional‑grade products used in nail salons today, gel press‑ons are handmade, hand‑painted, and are reusable with proper application and care. They deliver the fit, shine, and feel of a luxury gel set without the endless appointment shuffle. Apply them at home, switch them up whenever the mood strikes, and enjoy them again and again.

I don’t come from a nail tech background, I come from a foundation in art. I’ve been an artist since I could hold a crayon and my educational background in fashion design shapes the way I build a set: considered, intentional, and meant to be worn like it was made for you. But what sets me apart isn’t just my creative background — it’s the quality of every product I work with. I use professional-grade gels primarily from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, chosen for their clarity, strength, and seamless self-leveling. Trusted across Asia’s top salons, these gels deliver long wear and a luminous finish. My goal is to offer that same level of quality in gel press-ons that feel personal, wearable, and effortlessly accessible without compromise.

Sizing Kits

To ensure a precise fit, all new clients MUST begin with a sizing kit. Each set is custom-made and this step is the foundation of your final design — it determines the exact size, shape, and length that will look and feel the most natural on you. While minor adjustments can be made during application, a tip that's too small cannot be reshaped to fit. A fresh kit is also recommended when exploring a new shape to confirm your fit and ensure your set arrives ready to wear. Refunds are not offered for sizing issues, but the full cost of each sizing kit is credited toward your first full set in that shape, so you can experiment with confidence.

Orders open every Sunday at 10 AM PST and remain open until Thursday at that same time, or until all spots are claimed — whichever comes first. To keep my workflow balanced and ensure that each set gets the attention it deserves, I offer a set number of spots each week. The exact count is announced when orders open, so those who are ready can secure their place before the week fills up.

Once we’ve connected, invoices generally go out by the end of day Sunday and are due Monday evening to hold your spot for the week. Orders are processed in the order payments are received, and production runs daily, with every order for the week packed, labeled, and in the mail on Friday.

The short answer? Everything. These aren’t the flimsy, mass‑printed plastic tips from the beauty aisle. They’re handmade gel press‑ons with salon‑level detail, using professional‑grade materials selected for their smooth application, rich pigment, and lasting finish. I work exclusively with products trusted by professional nail artists for their proven performance and quality, never mystery gel from bulk marketplaces or fast‑fashion suppliers. Each nail is shaped, layered, and finished with the same techniques you’d find in a luxury nail studio.

These are bespoke nail sets with a refined silhouette, a high‑gloss finish, and quality you can see and feel the moment they’re on. You’re getting the kind of results people book weeks in advance for without the appointment, the tip jar, or the time sink. I treat every nail like its own canvas, finished to feel intentional and complete. Once they’re on, you’ll know you’re in for an entirely different experience.

Every set begins with Aprés GEL‑X® nail tips available in five shapes and in extra‑short, short, and medium lengths, providing a precise and consistent foundation for each design. From there, I work with professional‑grade gels that give me complete control over the form, color story, and final texture. Kokoist and their Nail Thoughts collaboration are my primary brands, forming the foundation of my collection alongside Presto, Aprés, and Yogurt Nail Kr, as well as other Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese and indie gel brands I’ve selected for their unique textures, specialty finishes, and depth of color not found in mass‑market products.

Beyond gels and tips, my designs draw from a curated library of embellishments and fine art materials — from stickers, resin charms, metal charms, and custom‑molded pieces to organic elements like dried flowers and real stones. As a mixed-media artist, I also like to incorporate my collection of high‑quality, artist‑grade gouache and watercolor paints, colored pencils, and alcohol ink markers into my designs to achieve effects that can’t be replicated with gel alone. Every product is sourced through verified distributors, never bulk marketplaces or untraceable suppliers, so I know exactly what’s going onto each nail. From the first base layer to the final topcoat, every material is chosen to deliver a result that looks and feels like a luxury salon service.

Each order includes a full set of ten (10) custom nails, plus two (2) simple but matching replacement nails in a mid-range size chosen to work across most fingers in case of loss or damage. Exact replicas can be purchased separately if needed, but with proper care, sets are meant to hold up to day-to-day and repeated wear.

You’ll also receive a complete application kit with everything you need for prep, wear, and clean-up after removal: alcohol pads, file, buffer, and cuticle pusher to get your nails ready; both sticky tabs and nail glue for application; and a micro swab and mascara spoolie to help with clean-up once the set comes off. Depending on availability, your order may also include small extras — stickers, charms, or other curated gifts — tucked in as a thank you.

Every full set is packed for presentation. I want you to feel like you’re opening a gift — not just something pretty, but something curated. Even if we’re not working one-on-one during creation, the packaging is built to reflect that same level of care, with every detail considered: the arrangement, the finish, the reveal.

There’s no need to request gift packaging because it’s already part of how I build each order, but if you’re sending a set as a present or want it to feel a little more celebratory, I’m happy to include a personalized card and add a little extra sparkle. Just let me know when you order.

Sizing kits ordered separately are shipped in clean, protective mailers with everything needed to find your fit.

To find your perfect fit, you'll start with a sizing kit. Each kit includes one tip in every size offered with the size number etched on the back and printed underneath for easy reference. To size, you will want to gently place each tip over your natural nail without applying much pressure. The correct fit will cover your nail bed from side wall to side wall without spilling over onto the skin. It should sit flush without major gaps, but never feel tight or forced.

Make sure to size all ten fingers individually! Even if they look similar, the actual size of each nail may differ slightly on either hand. Record the size number for each finger as you go. If you're between sizes, always choose the larger one. An oversized tips can always be filed down for a more custom fit but a undersized tip will never fit properly.

Taking the time to size accurately ensures your set wears comfortably, looks seamless, and reflects the quality of the work. If you ever want a second opinion or help interpreting your results, feel free to reach out.

Yes! I’m always open to customization outside of my usual offerings, especially when it comes to lengths, shapes, or larger orders that may qualify for a discount. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to mention it in your initial request so we can talk through what’s possible. Pricing may vary depending on the scope, but I’ll always walk you through what makes sense and do my best to stay within your budget.

Your included application kit will get you far, but if you’re serious about press-ons, investing in a few key tools can help make your prep more thorough and make a noticeable difference in your overall wear time.

For adhesives, I personally recommend a solid air-dry nail glue made specifically for the nails. These help fill micro-gaps between your natural nail and the press-on for a stronger bond. Popular choices include SOFbond™ Nail Glue and the Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue. Skip any glue marketed as UV-cured. Regardless of what is trending online, UV light cannot properly penetrate opaque press-ons to cure the adhesive. This often leads to incomplete bonding, premature lifting, and can be a fast track to contact dermatitis.

For prep and reuse, I recommend tools that help clean up the back of your press-ons between wears, like a dual-ended cuticle pusher with adhesive abrasive pads to remove leftover glue without damaging the nail surface or if you're a bit more confident, a small electric nail file with a mandrel bit and sanding bands. Investing in quality tools always pays off. It’s always better to spend a little more on something that lasts than to settle for the cheapest option available. If you ever want tailored recommendations, feel free to reach out and I'll be happy to help.

With thorough prep and careful application, my press-ons wear beautifully for around 7 to 14 days with nail glue or a couple days with adhesive tabs. Wear time depends on the details: the nail bed must be completely free of skin, dirt, oil, or residue, and the right amount of glue or precise tab placement is essential. How you treat your nails day to day also matters. Frequent water exposure, excess moisture, or unnecessary stress can shorten wear, while a gentler approach will help them stay secure for longer.

With proper removal and care, my nails are designed to be worn again. I use high‑quality materials that hold their shape and shine, so once old glue or tabs are removed and the nails are stored safely, you can bring them back out for another wear whenever you like. Buffing away any remaining glue or adhesive will keep them looking fresh for their next outing.

Orders are accepted Sunday through Thursday and I aim to ship all sets that Friday. Most orders placed within the continental U.S. arrive within 7 to 10 days from the time they're placed, depending on your location. Sizing kits ordered separately are shipped daily so they reach you as quickly as possible.

Yes, tracking is provided for all domestic orders. You’ll receive your tracking number as soon as your label prints, so you can follow your package every step of the way.

Yes, I offer international shipping; however, it is handled on a case‑by‑case basis. Please feel free to email me at hello@shojopunk.com so I can provide a shipping estimate and confirm any country‑specific requirements.

International customers are responsible for all import costs, including customs duties, taxes, and any other fees set by their country’s customs authority. These charges vary and are not included in my pricing. Delivery timelines for international orders cannot be guaranteed, and tracking may be limited or unavailable once a shipment leaves the U.S. Once dispatched, I am not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by the carrier or customs.

Import regulations vary by country and it is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm their order meets local requirements. I am unable to issue a refund if a shipment is refused, returned, or seized by customs.

Each set is custom made to order with the utmost care, so refunds are only issued in the rare case of an incorrect or damaged item. Refunds are not offered for lost or stolen packages or for sizing issues, which is why completing a sizing kit first is required to achieve the most accurate fit for your set.

If you feel something isn’t right with your order, please reach out at hello@shojopunk.com with any relevant details and photos so we can review it together and figure out how to best move forward.
